When and where do practices and games take place? All Rexdale Soccer House League sessions take place at the Finch-Humberline Sportsfields. Sessions run from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM.

• Practices: Mondays or Tuesdays (depending on division).

• Games: Wednesdays or Thursdays (depending on division). Please check the division schedule above for your child’s specific days.

Do we play in the rain or bad weather? Yes, soccer is played in the rain! Sessions are only canceled in the event of thunderstorms, lightning, or unplayable flooded fields. If a session is canceled due to severe weather, officials will make the decision on the field.

Can my child start late or miss the first week of the season? Yes! We understand that families take vacations or children are finishing up late-spring activities. If your child is going to miss the kick-off or start later in the season, simply email us or inform your coach. We will hold your child’s uniform for them until they arrive.

⚽ Equipment & Uniforms

What is included in the registration fee, and what do parents need to provide?

• The Club Provides: A full uniform (Jersey, Shorts, and Socks) and 1 soccer ball.

• Parents Must Provide: Soccer cleats, shin guards (must be worn under the socks for safety), and a reusable water bottle.

Where can parents buy cleats and shin guards? You can purchase youth soccer cleats and shin guards at local sporting goods stores, or local independent soccer shops in the Etobicoke area.

When are uniforms handed out? Uniforms are distributed at the field on the first day of the season. Occasionally, custom uniform orders for older divisions arrive at the end of the school year. If this happens, players are welcome to wear any comfortable athletic wear until the merchandise arrives.

What happens if the club-provided soccer ball pops or breaks? We’ve got you covered. If your club-issued soccer ball is defective or pops during the season, bring the broken ball to the clubhouse tent on your game day, and we will exchange it for a new one at no cost.

👨‍👩‍👧 Parent Involvement & Safety Rules

Can I drop my child off at the field and pick them up after? No. Rexdale Soccer is NOT a drop-off program. For safety and liability reasons, a parent or designated guardian (18 years or older) must remain on the sidelines for the entire 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM duration of the practice or game. Coaches are volunteers, not child-minders. Unattended players will not be permitted to take the field.

How can parents volunteer to coach or help on practice nights? We rely on our amazing parent volunteers! If you want to assist with Monday/Tuesday practices or manage a team, simply select the “Volunteer” option during online registration. All volunteers must complete a brief online orientation and pass a standard Vulnerable Sector Police Record Check (the club covers this cost).

How are coaching complaints and Code of Conduct issues handled? Rexdale Soccer Club enforces a strict zero-tolerance policy for abuse, mistreatment, or poor sportsmanship from coaches, players, parents, or referees. We expect a fun, supportive environment. If you have a serious concern regarding a volunteer coach’s conduct, please email the club administration directly.

What is the refund policy? Registration fees are strictly non-refundable after the season begins, except in cases of documented medical emergencies. We do not issue refunds for weather cancellations or schedule conflicts.

What age groups does the house league accommodate? Our house league spans multiple divisions based on birth year, ranging from U8 (Under 8) up to O14 (Over 14). We also offer a “Timbits” mini-soccer program for our youngest players. No previous soccer experience is required for any house league division!

Does the program continue into the fall and winter? The summer outdoor season officially concludes in late summer/early September. However, the fun doesn’t stop! We transition into an indoor Futsal/Soccer program when the weather changes. Watch your email in August for priority registration dates for the indoor winter season.
